Who we work with
Partners & Supporters
The Institute works with universities, foundations, embassies, cultural institutions, community organizations, and independent collaborators. None of them direct our programs.
On independence
We accept support on one condition, which we state at the outset: partners do not determine program content, speakers, or published conclusions. Where a program is supported, we say so openly on the program itself.
Universities & Research
Departments, centres, and individual scholars who co-host programs, send students, or collaborate on research.
Confirmed partners in this category will be listed here. We publish partners only with their agreement.

The Sam Yan ecosystem
The Institute is one part of a wider ecosystem that includes independent publishing through Sam Yan Press, documentary work through Sam Yan Studio, heritage and community programs in the neighbourhood, and the ongoing life of Sam Yan Commons itself. Partners often begin with one part of it and end up connected to several.
